After all these years, I still love to paint. And I still love the natural world. That crazy look in a bird’s eye. Poking apart an owl pellet to find the tiny perfect bones. I love spiders, and lightning storms and muddy fields that suck the shoes right off you.
I love rhythms and patterns. Dragging a stick along a fence. The gather and release of a slow drip. An imperfect plaid. A stripe whose colors won’t repeat. Cows mooing all together in a dusky field.
I love collaborating with people and finding things that surprise and delight us both.
How it works
- First, we meet and discover what the project needs. We exchange ideas and stories and make a plan.
- Next, I make a sample based on our common ideas.
- At this point, I have a pretty good idea what it will cost and how long it will take.
- We work out a schedule and a game plan.
- (we) do the work.
